The Newport Art Museum was presented with a check in the amount of $2,632 from the National Gallery benefit at Jane Pickens Theater on April 13.

The screening of Frederick Wiseman’s acclaimed documentary of the British National Gallery in London, played to a packed house and exceeded goal for the MUSE program. At the ACA 2015 Annual meeting, held at Newport Art Museum, Vice President John Hirschboeck presented the check to Peter Dickison, MUSE Coordinator, as Dickison spoke to the meeting about the program’s strengths and successes.

Dickison also introduced two MUSE interns from the East Bay Met School who were present, and a Portsmouth High School MUSE student who was on hand to play with his school orchestra.

We at Newport Art Museum are very pleased and thankful for the support shown by the ACA membership. MUSE is about collaboration and the ACA has demonstrated the strength of collaboration among Newport’s arts, historical and cultural institutions.
